Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Shop (a persuasive piece about a Vermont family adventure)

Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Shop

It was amazing to go to the Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream Shop!

I like when you get in line, you can see the top ten ice creams on the wall.  You can choose.  I chose Fish Food.  It is yummy ice cream.  I also saw a picture that said everyone is welcome at Ben and Jerry’s.  The gift shop was closed, but they put the gift shop things on the table.  It was cool to see.

Then we saw the ice cream graveyard.  It showed the years the ice cream got cut off of the ice cream list.  You could see how many years each flavor was around for there.  It was so cool.

Then there was a slide at the playground that went round and round.  There was also a tube you can go through.  Mabel loved the tube and eating the ice cream too.

If you want a fun trip, Ben and Jerry’s is an amazing place to go.

Helen Keller Biography Puppet Script

About Helen Keller

Hi, I am Helen Keller.  I am blind and deaf, but I was not always blind and deaf.

I got sick, and then I was blind and deaf from the sickness.

When I was a kid just like you, I had big temper tantrums.  I had to have a teacher to help me speak.  I could not speak still.

But one day at the water pump, I suddenly could understand the word water that my teacher spelled with her fingers!  Then I could learn to speak with other people and write things too.  I think that is all.

I am famous because I could write and talk and do so many things even though I was blind and deaf.

The Sleepover

It was a nice day.  It was warm, and it was extra nice because I was going to have a sleepover with my best friend.  She got to my house and played with my sister.  We played with Mabel’s dolls, and we also played with my doll house.  We went outside on the trampoline.  It was night, and we watched a movie together.  Then my mom said it was time for bed.  We talked for a little bit, and then we went to sleep.

The Wedding

My mom and I were getting ready for the wedding.  We got in the car.  My uncle went with us.  We stopped to get Dunkin Donuts and lemonade.  Then we stopped at the church.  We did hair and makeup.  Then people started to arrive at the church.  The music started to play.  Everyone got in our places.  I was the flower girl!
